Imperialists lash out but Iran hits back!

Iranian drone and missile strikes on Israel and the feudal Arab states that do America’s bidding continue round the clock while the attacks on energy facilities have sent the price of oil and gas soaring throughout the Western world. The Americans and Israelis are continuing their deadly air-raids on Iran – hitting oil and gas complexes and targeting religious and political leaders in an increasingly futile bid to force the Iranians to beg for mercy while the Islamic Republic pays them back in their own coin with deadly effect.

Steve Sweeney injured in Lebanon

Steve Sweeney, the former Morning Star journalist who now works for Russia Today (RT), was injured in an Israeli strike while filming in Lebanon this week. When he was in the UK, Sweeney was well-known to comrades for his support of the International Ukraine Anti-Fascist Solidarity campaign. Sweeney and his cameraman, Ali Rida, were wounded in an Israeli strike while filming in southern Lebanon. An Israeli war-plane fired a missile at their filming position near Al-Qasmiya Bridge, not far from a Lebanese military base.

Unite the union has decided to cut its donations to the Labour Party by 40 per cent. Labour will lose over half a million pounds from one of its major affiliates – and all down to the Starmer government’s refusal to intervene in the year-long Birmingham bin strike that was triggered by the Labour-run council’s move to cut the bin workers’ wages.
